OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT
BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Management (3 Year)
I always wanted to be an accountant. For me the priority in choosing where to study was the available accreditations. The fact that LSBM offer the maximum number of exemptions for both ACCA and CIMA papers made my choice a very simple one.
My experience at LSBM has been really good. Like many other people, when you come to a new University, you never know who you are going to meet, that sort of thing. You want to meet new people, make new friends, and that is exactly what I did.
One of the biggest reasons why I joined LSBM is because of the great support. If I had been going to a massive uni that had thousands of students, then you wouldn't get the same attention. But LSBM looked small and nice, and that was what I was looking for. I haven't got a very good attention span, so I need more attention and that was one reason why I chose LSBM.
The staff have been amazing, literally unbelievable. Every time I emailed staff I would receive a response within half-an-hour. I had really good communication with my tutors, so that was unbelievable in itself.
I also met up with friends at ULU, chilled out and had fun as well, so that was good. The fun and the work side worked really well together.
If you're the sort of person who knows they are going to need more attention, and you know you are going to struggle if you go to a massive uni, then LSBM is the place to go to, because you know that if you have any problems you're going to get more attention in the classroom, and even for personal problems as well because everyone is really friendly and you can always talk to everyone here.
