Student Focus Group

05 May 2017

At LSBM we believe in actively involving our students with both the decision making and direction that we take as an institution. We are always striving to improve our level of service to our student community, and part of that process is to get feedback from our students about what we are doing right and how we can do things better.

As part of that process, we have recently launched our UK Engagement Survey where we aim to get detailed written feedback from our students and have invited all Top-up and non-final year students to take part. (You can take part in that until Friday 16 June 2017 and find out more details about that here, as well as possibly winning 1 of 5 Amazon gift vouchers!)

In addition, yesterday we held a very successful Student Focus Group, which was overseen by the Deputy Academic Principal, Nick Hillman, and the Director of Student Engagement, Wellbeing and Success, Cal Courtney who oversaw a day of interesting sessions which ranged from topics such as seminar engagement, assessment types and some of the innovative eLearning strategies that are being implemented by our Learning Technology team, led by Geraldine Murphy.

The day was a great success and as well as much pizza being enjoyed! We learned some really useful and interesting feedback and information from all the many students (among them Shannon McGrellis, Julian Owusu, Ramin Nassajpour and Faisa Yusuf) who attended and actively participated in the day.

Many thanks to all the staff and students who helped to make the day such a success and we look forward to the next one!
