Celebrating Eid al-Fitr - Law Society

The Law Society in association with the Association of Muslim Lawyers (AML) is celebrating Eid al-Fitr. Eid al-Fitr is an important religious festival in the Muslim calendar that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid al-Fitr celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. In recognition of this, the Law Society is hosting an event which combines its religious significance with the positive impact of Muslim lawyers in the profession.

Following the keynote speaker and entertainment, there will be an opportunity for attendees to network and develop and build new professional relationships.

The Law Society is committed to promoting diversity in the profession. By hosting our annual Eid event we hope to celebrate its importance as well as:

  • highlight the positive contribution of Muslim lawyers in the profession
  • Supporting Muslim lawyers in their workplace (by building confidence, through networking opportunities and access to potential new business contacts)
  • presents an opportunity to raise awareness of Eid to the wider legal community.
